1 FACILITY OVERVIEW <br />1.1 INTRODUCTION <br />The Lovelace Transfer Station (LTS) is a large volume (receiving greater than 1000 tons per day <br />capacity) materials recovery and transfer/processing facility, requiring a Solid Waste Facilities <br />Permit (SWFP) and a Transfer/Processing Report (TPR). <br />Waste is brought to the LTS surrounding areas by a mix of licensed haulers, commercial <br />businesses, and residential self haul customers. Waste materials are transferred into large <br />transfer vehicles and transported to one of two landfills, the North County Recycling Center and <br />Sanitary Landfill, or the Foothill Sanitary Landfill, both located within a 35 mile radius of the site. <br />The operation of the LTS is currently permitted by SWFP number 39 -AA -0008 issued by San <br />Joaquin County Public Health Services, Environmental Health Department issued April 1, 1994, <br />revised August 16, 2005 and Use Permit UP -93-2 (Appendix B). <br />1.2 PURPOSE <br />The purpose of this document is to present current information on the LTS as part of the five year <br />permit review process. <br />This TPR has been prepared to document <br />compliance <br />with state <br />minimum standards <br />per Title 14 <br />of San <br />CCR, Sections 17406 and 18221.5 et seq. <br />It replaces <br />the 2010 Transfer Processing <br />Report and <br />its revisions. <br />Lovelace MRF and Transfer Station <br />Transfer Processing Report <br />April 10, 2015 <br />it <br />Department <br />of Public Works/Solid <br />Waste <br />Division <br />County <br />of San <br />Joaquin <br />
