33503 S Koster Road Project No.2021-00073 Page 112
8.3 Percolation Test Form and Results
The completed percolation test permit and test form are included in the Appendix E of this
report. A shallow percolation test is defined by the EHD as being between 36 and 42 inches
in depth; a satisfactory percolation rate for a shallow test is less than or equal to 60 minutes
per inch drop. The percolation test must demonstrate a satisfactory percolation rate within
the proposed septic system disposal field of each parcel to utilize a standard septic system.
Details of the percolation test is summarized in the Table 7:
Table 7.
Summary of Percolation Test- September 7, 2021
Percolation percolation
Test No., Test Test Comments
Date Tested Depth Rate Duration (See notes)
(inches) (minutes/inch)
33503 S Koster Road
P-1 (shallow) 42 9.26 4-hour Satisfactory
Note: A satisfactory percolation rate for a"shallow"test is less than or equal to 60 minutes per inch and greater than or equal to 1
minute per inch.
The soil within the percolation test area for 33503 S Koster Road demonstrated a satisfactory
percolation rate in accordance with the requirements of the EHD for the use of a standard
septic system.
9.0 SOIL SUITABILITY STUDY CONCLUSIONS
In summary,a percolation rate that meets the minimum EHD standards was achieved within
the proposed septic disposal area for the parcel located at 33503 S Koster Road; the soil
appears suitable for the use of a standard septic system.
10.0 LIMITATIONS
The conclusions of this report are established from the information provided regarding the
proposed and existing development and the site conditions as they existed at the time which
we excavated our test hole and performed the percolation test. It was assumed that the test
hole and percolation test result is representative of the subsurface conditions in the general
area.
If there is a substantial amount of time between the submission of this study and
commencement of work at the site, or if conditions have changed due to construction
activities or natural causes at or adjacent to the site, we recommend that our report be
reviewed to access the applicability of the recommendations and conclusions with
consideration regarding changed conditions and or lapse of time. This report should not
be used after 3 years without a review and update from our office.
Petralogix Engineering,InC.
26675 BruelIa Road,Galt,Ca 95632
(209)-40o-5729
www.petralogix.com
