Violations that are classified as"MAJOR"pose an immediate threat to public health <br /> and must be corrected immediately or be subject to closure pursuant to California Code of Regulations(Title 22)section 65545. <br /> #3 Safety Signs <br /> OBSERVATIONS:Fill in the safety signs prior to opening the pool. <br /> CALCODE DESCRIPTION:Pool operator shall keep safety signs well maintained. (CCR 65535)Safety signs shall have clearly legible <br /> letters or numbers not less than 4 inches high, unless otherwise specified. Safety signs shall be affixed to a wall,pole,gate, or similar <br /> permanent structure in a location visible to all pool users, unless otherwise specified. (CBC 31208) <br /> OVERALL INSPECTION NOTES AND COMMENTS <br /> NOTES <br /> Make sure the following are corrected. <br /> Gate opening hardware are at 38 inches. Gates and doors shall be equipped with self-closing and self-latching devices to keep <br /> them securely closed. Gates and doors shall open outwardly away from the pool except where otherwise prohibited by law. <br /> Hand activated door or gate opening hardware shall be located at a height no lower than 42 inches but no higher than 44 <br /> inches above the deck or walkway.The pool enclosure shall have a least one means of egress without a key for emergency <br /> purposes. Gates shall meet 3119B.2 of California Building Code,Title 24. <br /> Hose bibs must be available within 75 feet of all deck areas, and must be protected against backflow. <br /> ...Part of the fence is not on permanent material. Fencing shall be a minimum of 5 feet high. Openings, holes or gaps in the <br /> enclosure, doors and/or gates shall not allow the passage of a 4-inch diameter sphere.
