Rossier Road <br />Escalon, CA 95320 <br />RE: Soil Suitability/Nitrate Loading Study <br />31296 Rossier Road, Escalon <br />APN: 22920008, SR0084374 <br />The San Joaquin County Environmental Health Department (EHD) has reviewed the Soil Suitability/Nitrate <br />Loading Study (SSNL) dated October 18, 2021 for the above noted location and has the following comments <br />for your consideration. <br />The SSNL was prepared to determine the suitability of the above noted parcel for onsite wastewater treatment <br />system (OWTS) usage and the potential long-term nitrate loading impact to groundwater from the following <br />proposed four bedroom second unit dwelling <br />Based on the information provided the EHD can make the following findings: <br />Based on the information provided the EHD finds that the SSNL Study supports the suitability for <br />standard OWTS usage for the proposed development pursuant to San Joaquin County Ordinance Code <br />Title 9, Section 9-1105.2(d). <br />Percolation test conducted on October 19, 2021 yield percolation rate of 20.8 min/inch. At this rate an <br />8' soil separation is required between bottom of dispersal field and the groundwater (San Joaquin <br />County OWTS Standard Table 1.10.2). <br />The proposed well shall meet the minimum set back distances from the existing and proposed OVVTS <br />septic tank, leach field and seepage pits (SJC OWTS Standard 1.5). <br />The proposed water well shall be constructed under permit and inspection by the Environmental Health <br />Department; a pump permit is required for the installation of a pump in the proposed water well (San <br />Joaquin County Development Title, Section 9-1115.3). <br />If you have any questions please contact Aaron Gooderham, Registered Environmental Health Specialist, <br />REHS, at agooderham@sjgov.org or (209) 616-3062. <br />Steven Shih, REHS <br />Program Coordinator <br />CC: Live Oak GeoEnvinronmental <br />407 W.
