Chain-of-custody documentation and the certified analytical report are provided in Appendix C.

3.7 Investigation-Derived Wastes
No investigation-derived wastes were generated during the investigation.
4.0 FINDINGS

4.1 Subsurface Conditions
The results from the drilling program show that the subject property is primarily underlain by
fine-grained alluvial soils consisting of silty clays. However, in Borings B9 through B11, gravelly
sands and sands were encountered at the 4.5-foot depth. In Boring B12, a thin layer of sandy
gravel was encountered just below the asphalt pavement surface. No groundwater was
encountered during drilling activities. No visual or olfactory evidence (i.e., soil discoloration,
odor) of potentially-impacted soils was observed in soils that were recovered during drilling
activities.

4.2 Soil Sample Analytical Results
The following information is a summary of the soil sample analytical test results (Appendix C).
This information has also been included in Table 1.
Dieldrin was detected in Borings B7 through B11 at concentrations between 0.00041 and
0.0039 milligrams per kilogram (mg/kg).
Dichlorodiphenyldichloroethane (DDD) was detected in Borings B7 through B10 at
concentrations between 0.00017 and 0.010 mg/kg.
Dichlorodiphenyldichloroethene (DDE) was detected in Borings B7 through B11 at
concentrations between 0.00073 and 0.31 mg/kg.
Dichlorodiphenyltrichloroethane (DDT) was detected in Borings B7 through B10 at
concentrations between 0.0012 and0.046 mg/kg.
TPH-d was detected in Borings B1 and B6 at concentrations of 1.4 and 2.1 mg/kg,
respectively.
Arsenic was detected in Borings B2, B3, and B7 through B11 at concentrations between
5.8 and 8.2 mg/kg.
Chromium was detected in Borings B2, B3, and B7 through B11 at concentrations
between 36 and 58 mg/kg.
Lead was detected in Borings B2, B3, and B7 through B11 at concentrations between
7.5 and 11 mg/kg.
No other OCPs, VOCs, TPH-d, or TPH-mo were detected in soils at concentrations at or above
laboratory detection limits

5.0 SUMMARY AND CONCLUSIONS
AEI has completed a Phase II at the subject property. The purpose of the subsurface
investigation was to assess whether onsite storage and/or use(s) of waste oil and pesticides
have adversely affected the subsurface at the subject property. Twelve (12) soil borings were
Project No. 353448
February 25, 2016
Page 5 AEI
Consultants
