Jones Road
Escalon, CA 95320
RE: Composting Facility
It has come to the attention of the San Joaquin County
Environmental Health Division (EHD) that the Lionudakis Firewood
Company is receiving yard waste from the City of Modesto, Public
Works Department. If Lionudakis Firewood is receiving the entire
City of Modesto yard waste stream, it will be a considerable
amount. There is a concern that composting of yard wastes is
occurring on your property without the legal solid waste permit.
EHD requests that you submit a plan of operation on the yard
wastes you are receiving along with $390 for a plan check. EHD
will make a determination if a solid waste permit is required.
If you have any questions please call Ed Padilla, Lead Senior
REHS at 468-3458.
Ernst Fujimoto, MD, MPH
Acting Health officer
/010/
Mike Huggins REHS, Supervisor
Environmental Health Division
A Division of San Joaquin County Health Care Services
