The facility generated approximately 2 tons of RCRA <br /> hazardous waste in 2020. <br /> REGULATION GUIDANCE: A hazardous waste generator shall not treat, store, dispose of,transport or offer for <br /> transportation, hazardous waste without having received an Environmental Protection Agency(EPA) Identification <br /> (ID) Number.A Federal EPA ID number is required for generators of more than 100 kg of RCRA hazardous waste <br /> per month and/or more than one kg of acutely hazardous waste per month. ID numbers are unique to a business <br /> and site location. <br /> CORRECTIVE ACTION: Go to the DTSC web site at https://dtsc.ca.gov/apply-for-hazardous-waste-epa-id-number/ <br /> to obtain a Federal EPA ID number. Immediately apply for your ID number and submit evidence to the San Joaquin <br /> County Environmental Health Department within 30 days. <br /> This is a Class II violation. <br /> 110 CCR 66262.40(a) Failed to keep signed copy of manifests from the designated facility for three years. <br /> OBSERVATION: Designated facility signed and dated copies of Uniform Hazardous Waste Manifest(UHWM) <br /> 006454045GBF(2/24/2020)was not found on site. <br /> REGULATION GUIDANCE: A hazardous waste generator shall keep a copy of each manifest signed in accordance <br /> with section 66262.23(a)for three years or until the generator receives a signed copy from the designated facility <br /> which received the waste. This signed copy shall be retained as a record for at least three years from the date the <br /> waste was accepted by the initial transporter. The hazardous waste generator must submit a copy of the manifest <br /> to the California Department of Toxic Substances Control (DTSC)within 60 days if the destination facility signed <br /> manifest copy is not received from the transporter or designated facility. <br /> CORRECTIVE ACTION: The violation was corrected during the inspection by General Manager Joe Le Bel printing <br /> a copy of the missing manifest from the California Department of Toxic Substances Control website.
