FOR REFERENCE ONLY BUSINESS CONFIDENTIAL <br /> Fed Ground <br /> Hazardous Waste Minimization <br /> ENV-702 <br /> Department Owner: Environmental Affairs <br /> FedEx Ground Last Update: 22 January 2021 <br /> FedEx Ground is committed to the protection of human health and the environment.To meet <br /> these commitments,FedEx Ground strongly encourages its stations/hubs and employees to <br /> utilize waste minimization techniques to reduce the volume of wastes produced at all FedEx <br /> Ground stations/hubs.The following list contains important benefits from hazardous waste <br /> minimization: <br /> • Reduce the amount of hazardous wastes going to hazardous waste treatment,storage, <br /> and disposal facilities. <br /> • Use, reuse,or reclamation ofa material that would otherwise be disposed. <br /> • Increase operational efficiencies. <br /> • Maintain a safeand healthful workplace for our employees. <br /> • Reduce FedEx Ground's hazardous waste disposal costs. <br /> • Provide an opportunity for constructive community relations. <br /> Audience& Scope <br /> All FedEx Ground managers and employees must adhere to the procedures and guidelines <br /> described in this document.This procedure is only applicable to FedEx Ground stations/hubs <br /> that are issued a U.S. Environmental Protection Agency(EPA)Identification Number(ID). <br /> Requirements in this procedure are established to meet the applicable requirements <br /> contained in 40 CFR Part 262.27.In addition,stations in Hawaii and Alaska shall follow the <br /> procedures outlined in this document for donation of ammunition. <br /> Last Update: 22 January 2021 Pagel of 8 <br />
