Typically detached habitable structures are on a separate septic system.
The owners or contactor will be responsible for locating the septic tank and leach field to show the inspector. Again, the
concern is for the "In -Law Quarters", we do not have any permits for a septic system for that structure. I would
recommend finding the septic system first and then scheduling a site visit. An inspector will not locate the septic system
and may not be able to conclude the if distances are met, making the site visit not productive.
To schedule a site visit the following form needs to be submitted along with a fee of $152.
Service Request Form - https://www.sjgov.org/uploadedfiles/sjc/departments/ehd/forms/service%20request%20form.pdf
Fee payment - https://payments.lexisnexis.com/ca/co/sanjoaquin/envhealth
The service request form and payment confirmation can be sent to ehwellandsepticpermits@sjgov.org
Thank you,
Cesar Ruvalcaba
San Joaquin County Environmental Health Department
Lead Senior Registered Environmental Health Specialist
1868 East Hazelton Ave
Stockton, CA 95205
W (209) 953-6213 11 V1, cruvalcaba@sjgov.org
SAN JOAQUIN
OuNTY
From: Becca Wolfe <becca@thomaspoolsandspas.com>
Sent: Tuesday, October 26, 2021 8:57 AM
