STANDARD PROVISIONS AND REPORTING REQUIREMENTS, JANUARY 2012 - 31 - <br />FOR WASTE DISCHARGE REQUIREMENTS <br />FOR DISCHARGES REGULATED BY SUBTITLE D AND/OR TITLE 27 <br /> <br /> <br />9. Surface and subsurface drainage from outside of a waste management unit <br />shall be diverted from the unit [Title 27, § 20365(e)]. <br />10. Cover materials shall be graded to divert precipitation from the waste <br />management unit, to prevent ponding of surface water over wastes, and to resist <br />erosion as a result of precipitation [Title 27, § 20365(f)]. <br />11. Any drainage layer in the final cover shall be designed and constructed to <br />intersect with the final drainage system for the waste management unit in a <br />manner promoting free drainage from all portions of the drainage layer <br />[Title 27, §20365(f)].
