The feedstock shall undergo load checking to ensure that physical contaminants are removed.
2. Ensure that all personnel assigned to load checking and screening are properly trained in recognizing
physical contaminants and hazardous materials.
Inspection,Report Comments:
Routine monthly inspection conducted on this date and the following was noted:
1. Previous area of concern regarding windrows being potentially combustible has been corrected. The temperatures
of the windrows ranged between 143 F and 161 F. The temperature of the screened finished product, the
unscreened finished product, and the feedstock was 124 F, 134 F, and 142 F respectively.
2. In the previous inspection report, it was noted that windrow signs#12-15 were on the ground and it was
recommended that the signs be checked on a daily basis to ensure that they are still standing. During the
inspection, all the windrow signs were up and they were now placed in the end of each windrow.
3. In the previous two inspection reports, it was recommended that the records show exactly when each windrow
meets the requirements for completion of pathogen reduction by stating"met pathogen reduction"and also state
when each pile has been moved to be screened. During the inspection, the records showed when the windrows
underwent and completed pathogen reduction and when they were moved to be screened.
4. It is recommended that the daily tonnage reports show the total tonnage for all material (both compost and
transfer/processing)on site.
