Contamination noted and Exxon named as responsible party November 1991. USTs removed in March 1994 and contamination <br />noted in soil below/around USTs. soil vapor extraction wells installed in January 1995 and becomes active remediation. Rising MtBE ground water <br />concentrations March 2002. The EHD names new landowner/UST operators Palisades Gas as responsible party for Case #2 at this site on May 21, 2003. <br />Palisades Gas, dba USA Petroleum starts ground water investigation with 7 CPTs in September 2005 as Exxon discontinues submitting quarterly reports. <br />From May 2007 to October 2007, USA Gas installs ten additonal deep and shallow monitoring wells on and offsite for continued lateral and vertical <br />delineation investigation. Deeper ground water flows north to northeasterly. Case #2 retains "Palisades Gas & Wash" name (no longer called USA <br />Petroleum) and continues to submit quarterly ground water monitoring reports to Geotracker. Tesoro Refining & Marketing named as additional <br />responsible party June 2007. As of May 2009, twenty-one monitoring wells (MW -1 through MW -21) and two vapor wells (VEW-1 and VEW-3) remain <br />active sampling wells for the site. No active remediation in progess. 10-29-2010: Date of NFAR submitted to EHD. review pending. July 20, 2011: 30 -day <br />notice of NFA intent sent to CVRWQCB. Oct 6, 2011: Permits for well destructions submitted -work to begin Oct 12, 2011. Nov 17, 2011: All wells removed <br />at site. Nov 29, 2011: Report of well destructions recd today -No IDW manifests rec'd-Consultant advised docs must be submitted and approved before <br />NFA status obtained. Jan 5, 2010: EHD rec's all well destruction waste manifests and approves. Final closure documents prepared. Anticipate official <br />closure letter to be issued during Jan 2012. Jan 11, 2012: EHD issues official No Further Action (NFA) letter.
