The eastern portion of the island is bordered by the San Joaquin River on the north and Burns Cutoff on the south. This seciton of <br />the San Joaquin River channel is used for access to the Port of Stockton. The former Tosco bulk facility is east of the facility and a small parcel of vacant <br />land is north of the Site. The Shell facility began operating in 1940. The site is used to store petroleum fuel products in aboveground tanks. Fuel <br />products are received through Shell Pipeline Corporation, and additives are received by tanker truck. The products stored at the Site include gasoline <br />(regular and premium), diesel, ethanol, slop, and transmix. The tanks range in capacity from 5,450 to 24,000 barrels.
