4 r
Foothill Landfill - 2 - 6 June 2018
San Joaquin County
20415 and 20420. In addition, the background well MW-4 has been dry —ir two consecutive
years. This dry condition does not meet the intent of the DMP and is required to be replaced.
Work Plan
By 16 July 2018, the Discharger shall submit a work plan to install one groundwater monitoring
well at the point of compliance of Module I, near gas probe SG-6. The basis for this well is to
provide additional control across the site for groundwater flow direction and gradient and to
provide additional capability to detect a release at the earliest possible time from the Unit in
accordance with Title 27, section 20415 and 20420. The work plan shall also propose to either
re-install or re-construct background well MW-4. The work plan shall include the required
information described in the Monitoring Well Installation Work Plan and Monitoring Well
Installation Report guidelines attached.
Lastly, staff requires the Discharger to provide reasoning in the work plan, why the last four
single completion gas probes (SG-4, -5, -7, -9) have not been reconstructed as triple completion
gas probes as of the date of this letter.
If you have any questions please call Todd Del Frate at 916-464-4737 or email him at
tdelfrate waterboards.ca.gov.
8
a
HOWARD HOLD, P.G.
Senior Engineering Geologist
WDRs Compliance and Enforcement
Enclosure: Monitoring and Reporting Checklist
Site Inspection Report and Photographic Log
Cc: Robert McClellon, San Joaquin County Environmental Health
CIWQS VI #1043635
