PC]---UUV
2°mac SAN .JOAQUIN
COUNTY
Greatness grows here.
November 15, 2021
Eugene Marsili
377 Rode Rd
Acampo CA 95220
RE: Soil Suitability/Nitrate Loading Study
3212 & 3225 E. Woodson Road, Acampo
APN 005-145-31 & 49, SR0084471
Environmental Health Department
Jasjit Kang, RENS, Director
Muniappa Naidu, REHS, Assistant Director
PROGRAM COORDINATORS
Robert McClellon, REHS
Jeff Carruesco, REHS, RDI
Willy Ng, REHS
Melissa Nissim, REHS
Steven Shih, REHS
Michelle Henry, REHS
The San Joaquin County Environmental Health Department (EHD) has reviewed the Soil Suitability/Nitrate
Loading (SSNL) Study, dated November 5, 2021 and has the following comments for your consideration.
The SSNL was prepared to determine the suitability of onsite wastewater treatment system (OWTS) usage
and the potential long-term impact of nitrate to groundwater from the proposed lot line adjustment. The minor
subdivision between the two above stated parcels would result in parcel APN 005-145-31 to become 2.011 -
acre lot.
Based on the information provided, the EHD can make the following findings:
The Soil Suitability/Nitrate Loading Study supports the suitability for standard OWTS usage for the
proposed lot line adjustment of the above-mentioned parcels, pursuant to San Joaquin County
Ordinance Code Title 9, Section 9-1105.2(d).
2. Percolation test conducted on October 22, 2021 yielded a percolation rate of 2.45 and 4.0 minutes/inch
for both deep tests (failed both shallow tests). At this rate, a 20 -foot soil separation shall be required
between bottom of dispersal field and groundwater pursuant to San Joaquin County Onsite
Wastewater Treatment Standard table 1.10.2. Per SSNL Study, groundwater on site is reported
between 75 and 8.5 feet below surface grade.
3. The nitrate loading was calculated using wastewater flow of 150.7 gallons per day. Further addition of
bedrooms to existing dwelling or addition of new dwelling(s) on parcel APN 005-145-31 shall require
a SSNL Study addendum.
If you have any questions please contact Francisco Garcia Ruiz, Environmental Health Specialist Trainee, at
fgarciaruiz@sjgov.org or (209) 616-3032.
A 0- -
Steven Shih, REHS
Program Coordinator
c: LiveOak
1868 E.
