All violations must be corrected within specified timeframe. Violations that are classified as "MAJOR" pose an immediate threat to public health <br />and have the potential to cause foodborne illness. All major violations must be corrected immediately. Non-compliance may warrant immediate closure of <br />the food facility. <br /> #23 Rodents, Insects or Animals Inside Facility MAJOR <br />OBSERVATIONS: Observed a rodent run into the market through the open front door and then go under the front counter. <br />Per owner the facility is usually serviced every 15 days. Keep front door closed and increase pest control measures. Provide <br />receipt of pest control service to dafonskaia@sjgov.org or have onsite during re-inspection. Corrected on site, the front door <br />was closed. <br />Observed rodent droppings on bean, cereal box, and packaged snacks shelves. Observed rodent droppings on floor under <br />ice bag storage shelf. Clean and sanitize shelves today and increase pest control measures. <br />CALCODE DESCRIPTION: Each food facility shall be kept free of vermin: rodents (rats, mice), cockroaches, flies.( 114259.1, 114259.4, <br />114259.5) <br /> #6 Handwashing Facilities Supplied and Accessible <br />OBSERVATIONS: The restroom paper towel dispenser was empty. Provide paper towels in dispenser today. <br />CALCODE DESCRIPTION: Handwashing soap and towels or drying device shall be provided in dispensers dispensers shall be <br />maintained in good repair. (113953.2) Adequate facilities shall be provided for hand washing, food preparation and the washing of <br />utensils and equipment. (113953, 113953.1, 114067(f)) <br /> #32 Food Properly Labeled and Honestly Presented <br />OBSERVATIONS: Lacking posted sign stating the ice is made on site. Provide sign on freezer door or on each individual <br />bag which includes that ice is made on site along with the facility name and address. Correct today. <br />CALCODE DESCRIPTION: Any food is misbranded if its labeling is false or misleading, if it is offered for sale under the name of another <br />food, or if it is an imitation of another food for which a definition and standard of identity has been established by regulation. Food facilities <br />with 19 or more chains in the state shall disclose nutritional information.
