There are no special C.O.G. studies which deal with
this particular area. County studies of population
and housing have been discussed.
Districts:
1. San Joaquin County Air Pollution Control District.
2. Waterloo-Morada Fire District -- provides fire
protection from the station at Foppiano and Ashley
Lanes. The District has 3 pumpers, 1 tank truck,
14 full-time firemen, and 24 volunteers, and can
reach the subdivision in 5 minutes. Fire District
requirements specify fire hydrants every 500' with
National Standard Threads, either 2" or 4".
3. Zone 9 of the County Flood Control District: The
Northeast Stream Group Report Plate 13 shows that the
subject site would be affected by a standard project
flood, that which may be expected less frequently
than once in one hundred years. However, even an
intermediate regional flood would affect roadways
leading into the area (Waterloo and Cherokee).
Drainage ponding sufficient to contain the runoff
from a 24 hour storm occurring once in 10 years is
mandated by the Subdivision Ordinance. This would
be overwhelmed in any greater flood, although a
drainage pond larger than required could be con-
structed.
4. San Joaquin County Local Health District: Permits
are issued for water wells and systems and septic
tanks. Health services are also provided to
residents of the County;X-Ray services, communicable
disease prevention, vaccination, and family planning.
5. San Joaquin Mosquito Abatement District: Provides
for the elimination of mosquito breeding places,
technical assistance on water management, irrigation
and drainage problems and technical advice on public
health insects.
6. Bear Creek Resource Conservation District: Technical
and soils advice provided to agriculturalists and
homeowners.
7. Stockton East Water District: Provides irrigation
water and assesses use fee of $3.00/house on present
structures and will do so for the proposed sub-
division. The district has no plans to implement
surface water conveyance or piped water to this
area.
The proposed subdivision is in the 3rd Supervisorial
District. The present Supervisor is Norman Shumway.
-19-
