Hazelton Ave.
Stockton, Calif.
Subject: QUASHNICK & WILLIAMS Z-78-18/5-78-6/EIR-78-4
Environmental Impact Report
Upon reveiw of the EIR I have the following comments :
1. Page 2- End of 2nd. paragraph states : ( See Appendix B ) .
Appendix B refers to Air Quality and not recently
developed rural residential subdivisions as the paragraph
refers to. I don' t see how Appendix B fits into the
paragraph.
2. Page 3- 2nd paragraph- 4th line: with barrow ditches to
drain the street. . . . . . . This subdivision will provide
drainage basins on each lot to serve the individual lots '
plus that portion of street adjacent the lot. A barrow
ditch will be constructed to drain the water from the
street and lot to the drainage basin. The sentence
could read with barrow ditches and a storm drainage
basin to drain the street and lot area without t e
construction of curb, gutters or sidewalks.
3. Page 3- 2nd paragraph- 8th line: Sewer and water will,
not be provided. How about stating: Public sewer and
water is ont available in the immediate area.
4. 4th paragraph: I feel 650 gallons/day is a bit high for
individual home water consumption. I think 500 gallons/day
X 73 lots = 36500 gallons per day would be adequate.
Another statement should be added that row crop farming
utilizes 4 acre foot of water per acre every 90 days
therby using 33 , 650 gallons per day or approximately
the same as the 73 lot subdivision when fully developed.
5. Page 6- Item 4- 9th line : . . could eliminate pond
.water as a . . . . . Do you mean, could eliminate
ground water as a . . . .
-CB-
