FLINN <br />DEPUTY DIRECTOR <br />MANUELLOPEZ <br />DEPUTY DIRECTOR <br />STEVEN WINKLER <br />DEPUTY DIRECTOR <br />R!7 P7 777) <br />� <br />SUBJECT: LANDFILL GAS MONITORING AT THE <br />FOOTHILL SANITARY LANDFILL <br />This letter is in regards to the violation we received during <br />your January 1997 inspection at the Foothill Sanitary Landfill. <br />Your inspector stated the reason for the violation was that we <br />missed the gas monitoring event for the fourth quarter of 1996. <br />The monitoring event that was performed in January was intended <br />for the 1996 Fourth Quarter event. The monitoring was performed <br />late because the County's gas monitoring equipment was not <br />working properly and had to be sent to the factory for repairs. <br />The repairs took longer than expected to complete. <br />Please correct the violation notice that appeared on the <br />Inspection Report dated February 20, 1997. if you would like to <br />discuss this further or have any questions, please call me at <br />Extension 83066. <br />GK:WJ: vj <br />R:1 VIRGINIAI MEMOSI FH-INSP.
