In accordance with a previous request from the Environmental Health <br /> Division, PVC pipes with caps were monitored for methane at four locations. The pipes are <br /> open at the bottom and are approximately 2.5 feet deep. <br /> The County used a Landtec GEM 500 Gas landfill gas instrument to perform the monitoring. <br /> The instrument was calibrated by County Staff prior to monitoring.
