I have
researched the facility permit and revealed that the permit allows for limited recyclable program to be implemented at
the facility.
The facility permit restricts the program as to time that the material can be stored on-site,public access to the materials
recycling area, and traffic controls for the recycling activity. The facility permit states that recyclable materials shall
not be stored outside the permitted storage area and that the storage piles shall not exceed 25 feet in height. The Report
of Disposal Site Information states the recyclable materials will be stored in bins and that the wood waste will be stored
piles.
To insure compliance with the facility permit and the RDSI the Environmental Health Division is requiring that a work
plan be submitted, and approved, prior to implementing the recycling program. The work plan should address the
issues that are listed above.
If you have any question please contact me at 468-0332
Karen Furst,M.D.,M.P.H.
Health Officer
Robert McClellon,Lead Senior R.E.H.S
Environmental Health Division
A Division of San Joaquin County Health Care Services
