Groundwater level measurements
recorded at on-site monitoring wells indicate an approximate decrease in elevation of 10
feet from 1990 to 2003. The permeability of the soils from the surface to a depth of 60 feet
varies from 10-3 to 10-9 centimeters per second.
C. Locations of buildings and structures relative to the migration monitoring perimeter do not
require special design features in the soil gas wells. All structures within the landfill
property limit are also within the monitoring perimeter, and therefore will be monitored as
"on-site" structures (Figure 1).
D. Adjacent land use and inhabitable structures within 1000 feet of the disposal site property
boundary does not require special design features.
- The adjacent lands are used for agriculture livestock grazing.
- No inhabitable structures are within 1000 feet of the disposal site, except for:
1. The residence 700 feet north of the northern property boundary,
approximately 3,000 feet from the monitoring perimeter.
2. The residence 125 feet west of the western property boundary,
approximately 3,050 feet from the monitoring perimeter.
E. Man-made pathways, such as underground construction do not exist.
F. The soil gas wells are located outside the limit of refuse.
G. Wells were bored at least the elevation of the bottom of the waste within 1000 feet of the
well.
On-site Structure Monitoring
Occupiable structures within the interim monitoring perimeter will be monitored for methane gas
concentration. These structures and their monitoring points of compliance include:
A. Scalehouse:
- Interior air
- Electrical conduit entry point within the building
B.
