4. The proposed development and the surrounding areas are <br />_being considered for future development on septic systems and <br />will concentrate large volumes`of sewage effluent in the <br />sail. Water quality for these concentrated developments with <br />existing soil types require adequate monitoring provided by <br />law for public water systems. This safety feature would not <br />be provided by individual residential water wells. <br />5. Present legislation (AH859) will extend the number of <br />chemicals allowed in public water systems by 12. The Maximum <br />Contaminant Level (MCL) will be established for these <br />additional chemicals allowing for a more broader protection <br />of the underground water acquifer.
