I appreciate the information and the clarifications that
have been provided. The following four revisions will be made in the report.
Item #1— Leachate Flow from New Refuse over Module "I"
Yes, it is inaccurate to state that Module "I" leachate will drain to Module 1, when in
fact it is leachate produced in the new refuse placed over the Module "I"/ Module 1
barrier that will be directed to Module 1. I have attached a replacement page #3,
revised for that clarification.
Item #2 — Additional Monitoring Wells
Thanks for your comment regarding positioning of the new down gradient monitoring
well relative to future modules. To provide monitoring for Modules 1 and 2 in the
near future, we have moved the location of proposed MW -5 approximately 1,000 feet
eastward. The new location is adjacent to, and down -gradient of future Module 2.
Figure 4-1 has been revised to show the new proposed location.
Item #3 — Partial Cover on Module -r
San Joaquin County will prepare a final inspection report documenting construction
of the partial cover on Module "I". This report will contain data on soil cover
thickness measurements and compaction of the soil and will be signed and stamped
by a professional engineer or engineering geologist.
Item #4 — Signature Page
A new signature page for the Project Design Report is also attached. This revision
contains addresses and registration numbers for all signatories, and is stamped by the
lead technical civil engineer, Timothy Crandall of Kleinfelder.
