"Yes" may only be checked in situations where there is substantial evidence to indicate that there may be a significant adverse impact on the environment if there is no ch_=nge in the proposed project. Following each environmental topic is a discussion section which addresses those checklist items marked "yes" or "maybe." Following the discussion section, proposed mitigation measures are proposed which may be adopted by the Lead Agency to eliminate or reduce to insignificance the identified environmental effects. ENVIRONMENTAL CHECKLIST: Yes No -Maybe 1. EARTH - Will the proposed project result in: a. Unstable earth conditions or changes in geologic structures? X b. Disruptions, displacements, compac- tion, or overcovering of the soil? X C. Changes in topography or ground surface relief features? X d. The destruction, covering, or modifi- cation of unique geologic or physical features? x e. Anv_ increase in wind or water erosion of soils, either on or off the project site? X f. Changes in deposition, erosion, or siltation? X g. Exposure of people or property to geologic hazards such as earthquakes, landslides, mudslides, ground failures, or similar hazards? X DISCUSSION: During placement of solid waste material, the proposed increased quantities will not result in additional overburden or compaction of soil over the original design for the site. The increased quantities will simply cause the site to reach its capacity sooner. Similarly, the topography will not be altered. Final grades will remain as designed, but the grades will be finalized sooner than originally anticipated.
