X
DISCUSSION: Not applicable.
MITIGATION MEASURES: Not applicable.
Yes No Maybe
9. NATURAL RESOURCES - Will the proposed
project result in:
a. Increases in the rate of use of any
natural resources? X
b. Substantial depletion of any non-
renewable natural resource? X
DISCUSSION: Increased vehicle trips would cause an increase
in fuel usage. However, fuel usage will end earlier than
previously scheduled due to accelerated site closure. The
result is an equivalent amount of fuel usage over a shorter
period of time. The recycling portion of the project is meant
to recapture and reuse natural resources.
MITIGATION MEASURES: No mitigation necessarv.
Yes No Maybe
10. RISK OF UPSET - Will the proposed project
result in:
a. A risk of an explosion or the release
—
=4 '_-:aza_-dcas substances in the event
of an accident or upset conditions? X
b. Possible interference with an emergency
response plan or an emergency evacua-
tion plan? X
DISCUSSION: No risk of upset is expected due to the types of
solid waste processed at the landfill.
MITIGATION MEASURES: No mitigation is necessary.
Increased Waste Quantities & Recycling Project
Foothill Sanitary Landfill
January 25, 1995
Initial Studv
Page 5
