Only 80 acres of the site are currently being <br />filled. The next cell (approx. 20 acres) located to the south of the current active cell is <br />under excavation. The new cell will be lined. Approximately 909. of the incoming waste is <br />from two transfer stations (Lovelace and Tracy). The landfill's operating hours are from <br />7:00 to 17:00 daily. A contract operator, Foothill Sanitary Landfill, Inc., is responsible <br />for daily operations. Mr. Jesse Padilla, site supervisor, accompanied us during the site <br />inspection. Mr. Tom Horton and Mr. Wes Johnson of San Joaquin County Public Works were <br />present for the review of records stored at the County offices. <br />COMMENTS• <br />Area of Concern Inspection of Records <br />14 CCR § 17639: <br />During the inspection, personnel training records were not available for review. The <br />landfill operator stated that San Joaquin County had the records for review. San <br />Joaquin County maintained that the contract operator had the records. Foothill <br />Sanitary Landfill, Inc. stated that the records would be consolidated and available in <br />the future at the landfill. <br />Section Supervisor Associate Waste Management Specialist <br />
