4. Erosion Control and Seed Protection:
a) Apply a total of 3,000 Ib/ac of hydrostraw.
b) Mix 100 Ib/ac of tackifier evenly with the hydrostraw.
c) Spray hydrostraw mix so any surface irregularities are evenly covered. This will
probably require two or more passes, each application from a different direction.
Hydrostraw will protect seed from being eaten by animals and reduces the number of
steps as compared to straw application followed by tackifier application.
5. Test Pad
The test pad area has shown moderately successful growth. Apply the following
enhancement to provide approximately the results as the areas that will be disked,
amended, and fertilized.
a) Distribute mulch within the test pad area to an approximate depth of 1/2 inch.
b) Apply fertilizer at a rate not more than that specified in Table 1
c) Lightly rake the surface by hand, but do not disk
d) Plant with seed drill, applying one-half the seed as in disked areas
N:\1 Foothill\SitelmpProj06\RevegETcap\ETRevegPlan6-25-08.doc
ET Closure Cap Reseed 3 Foothill Sanitary Landfill
October 17, 2008 San Joaquin County Pub Works/Solid Waste
