Attached is the Standard
Observations report, as required by Section 4a.
The site drainage remains in excellent condition due to the drainage improvements made during
the Site Improvement Project in 2006 and the mild winter of 2006/07. Similar to the last rainy
season, the landfill operator covers recent side -slopes with gravelly topsoil from surrounding areas.
The gravel and cobles in the soil provides protection against erosion while the seed in the soil
sprouts (Photos 1-4).
The active face and working area of the landfill is sloped to drain south into the borrow area, where
most or all water will infiltrate (Figure 1). Drainage from the remainder of the landfill surface is
directed to the infiltration pond east of Module "I".
If you have any questions, please call me at (209) 468-8504.
Sincerely,
W.
