Work Plan Description Subsurface Investigation Page 3 <br /> Foothill Landfill LFGTE Facility <br /> Linden, CA <br /> August 4,2011 <br /> Project 331 <br /> The out mixture will be to the specification of the County EHD inspector. <br /> Cuttings will be left on site adjacent to the to borings. <br /> SAFETY PLAN <br /> Because no hazardous materials or contamination are anticipated,Level D protection is <br /> deemed sufficient for the proposed work. In addition,hearing protection,eye protection, <br /> steel-toed boots and safety vests will be used. Underground Service Alert(USA North or <br /> Dig Alert) location request was submitted on 8/4/11,ticks t#256614,notifying <br /> underground utility members to mark the locations of any underground utilities at the site. <br /> The landfill operations office has been contacted and requested to locate any of the <br /> landfill's underground improvements which are in the area of the proposed work. A site <br /> safety meeting will be conducted before the start of work. <br /> T'he site safety meeting will cover at the minimum: <br /> • Site Safety Plan Review <br /> • Physical hazards of drill rig operation <br /> • Potential for slips,trips,and falls <br /> • No smoking and no open fiarne,with regard to the(very remote)potential for <br /> medme migration from existing facility. <br /> In case of major injury call the following: <br /> Police/Fire/Ambulance: cal1911 <br /> Foothill Landfill Office: (209) 887-3969 <br /> In case of for injury: <br /> 1) drive injured worker to nearest hospital - St Josephs Medical Center, 1800 <br /> North California Street Stockton, CA(209)943-2000,or <br /> 2) cal1911 for Police/Fire/Ambulance <br /> Minor First Aid: A first aid kit will be on site. <br /> CONTAMINATION CONTINGENCY <br /> If during drilling, evidence of hazardous materials or soil contamination is encountered, <br /> the drilling will be terminated immediately and the test boring will be trernie grouted. <br /> The cuttings will be temporarily isolated on site for later placement in sealed and labeled <br /> containers.
