We suspect this <br /> return of VOC is caused by the HDPE liner placed over refuse. As noted on our permit application, <br /> we intend to go 10 feet into the soil,to better collect from the soil beneath the landfill. We <br /> estimate that the bottom of the refuse is 125 ft from the surface (thus a drill depth of 135 feet), <br /> but we aren't sure.
