These documents include:
• The Joint Technical Document (JTD)
• CDRRR (Previously CIWMB) Form 177: Application for Solid Waste Facility Permit/Waste Discharge
Requirements
• Compact Disk with the AutoCAD files of the Landfill Capacity Survey Results Table
• Red -line tracked changes comparing the 2010 version to 2004 version of the JTD
The JTD incorporates revisions in operation and regulations since the last submittal, including:
• Closure using an evapotranspirative (ET) cap (primarily impacting closure cost)
• Installation of the landfill gas collection system in 2006
• Installation of the perimeter migration monitoring wells in 2009
• Adjustment of the final landfill surface configuration to incorporate Module 1
• Conceptual design of the landfill base
The estimated capacity of the landfill increased due to the greater detail of the conceptual landfill base design.
The estimate of 2004 assumed an average landfill base elevation of 230 ft msl. The current, more detailed
conceptual design shows significant portions of the landfill base reaching 200 ft msl, with associated increase
in volume. Note that the elevations of the present conceptual base design are consistent with the excavation
limits of the conceptual design included in the Preliminary Closure Plan of 2004.
If you have any questions, please call me at 468-8504 or Joyesh Chandra at 468-3066.
Sincerely,
W.
