COMMENTS
Describe all results marked "Fail"and each proposed remedy.
Re-inspection of T-6 Waste Oil tank only. For all other tanks,see inspection results dated 7-20-21. Initial inspection results
from 7/20/21 (revised with correct tank charts)indicated T-6 OPV failed due to shut off height too high in tank. Measurements
taken today indicate that the initial calculations were incorrect, due to dimension B, (sealing lip to tank bottom), being 3.5"
higher than actual measurement of 156.5". (Overfill prevention valve was scheduled to be replaced if setting was high, but
deemed unnecessary due to discovery of measurement error).
Overfill Prevention valve was checked for function, and found operable.Valve passes inspection.
A ball float was found in the vent riser next to spill container. In-tank measurements show this is set at 96.6%,2.625" higher
than overfill valve setting,and will not interfere with overfill prevention valve operation. Ball float left in place.
Owens Corning tank, installed 1989.
CERS lists mechanical overfill valves as primary means of overfill prevention.
Inspector Carol Presto, San Joaquin County E.H.D. present for inspection.
* Mark here if:
❑ Flow restrictors interfere with overfill prevention and equipment repairs required.
Additional copies of this page may be attached.
Attach tank chart(s), measurements, calculations, and In-Tank Setup report(s)
Page 2 of 2
