The following are Minor violations - <br /> Notice to Comply: #23, #79, 83, 84. <br /> #23. Observed about 1/3 drum of oily liquid, a set of used nozzle and hose, and approximately 3 used <br /> oil filters stored inside a 55-gallon container labelled drained used oil filters. <br /> -- Used oil filters shall be completely drained of any free flowing oil and stored in a properly labelled <br /> container and managed within 1 year of storage. <br /> * Immediately make a hazardous waste determination of the used oil and, used nozzle, and hose, and <br /> dispose them accordingly, or dispose them as HW in accordance to Title 23. Begin the practice of <br /> completely draining any free flowing oil before placing the oil filters in a properly labelled container, <br /> which shall contain used oil filters only. Submit a copy of the disposal receipt of the removed wastes to <br /> EHD by August 27, 2010. <br /> 79, 83,84. Unable to determine the length of storage of approximately 8 Universal Waste (UW) <br /> fluorescent lamps. The UW-lamps were stored in unlabelled, non-closable container with one side <br /> missing. Observed generator placed the UW-lamps in another container, but that container could not be <br /> closed due to the length of the UW-lamps. <br /> -- UW-lamps shall be stored in a closed container that prevents breakage and release to the <br /> environment, and the container shall be labeled to identify the type of UW and the initial date of <br /> accumulation. UW-lamps shall be managed within one year of storage. <br /> * Immediately dispose of the above UW-lamps and submit a copy of the disposal receipt to EHD. <br /> Begin storing all future UW-lamps (and other UW such as alkaline batteries, CRT, mercury switches, <br /> electronic devices) in a closed container marked to identify the type of UW and the initial date of <br /> accumulation, and manage the UW within 1 year of storage and retain a copy of the disposal receipt on <br /> site for at least 3 years. A pamphlet for the Small HW Disposal Facility has been supplied. Submit a <br /> copy of the disposal receipt of the above UW-lamps to EHD by August 27, 2010. <br /> NOTES <br /> --Provided generator a copy of CUPA class schedule, HW labels, and factsheet on HW labelling. <br /> --Submit the following to EHD by August 27, 2010- <br /> 1) A copy of the completed Return to Compliance (provided), <br /> 2) A written statement how each of the above violation was corrected, <br /> 3) Evidence (i.e. photos, disposal receipts, documents) in support of the corrections made. <br /> ALL EHD STAFF TIME ASSOCIATED WITH FAILING TO COMPLY BY THE ABOVE NOTED DATES WILL BE BILLED AT THE CURRENT HOURLY RATE($115). <br /> THIS FACILITY IS SUBJECT TO REINSPECT N AT ANYTIME AT EHD'S CURRENT HOURLY RATE. <br /> EHDI ect z' Rece ved B .
