Received a call at 5 pm from Muniappa Naidu, Program Coordinator BACKUS <br />asking me to respond to a property with an occupied RV with a noise complaint. <br />There is a noisy generator on the property. I called Laura Sauer (EHD) for the <br />property address and the C#. <br />I arrived at the property and attempted to call the reporting SJC Sheriff Deputy <br />Chavez e did not answer the phone so I called the SO <br />dispatch o said someone will call me back. The property has a boarded-up <br />fire-damaged single family residence with the front windows and doors securely <br />boarded up. The property is fenced on the front and sides. A recreational vehicle <br />in good condition is parked on the north side of the property behind a gate. A <br />noisy generator could be heard running in the backyard. I took pictures of the <br />house and RV from the outside of the property. <br />I spoke to Michael Forman, tenanto Michael said he's had a stroke 11011. <br />and he had a slight difficulty commun0 ing with me. He had two German <br />Shepard dogs with him. Michael runs the generator to charge batteries he's using <br />for the house remodel and to energize the RV. He said that a sewer line runs from <br />the RV to a house sewer line and he's paying for sewage service with the City. I <br />observed the sewer line. He said that he has hot water. He said that the <br />generator runs no later than 10 pm at night and no earlier than 10 am in the <br />morning. I told him to turn off the generator as soon as possible and no later than <br />10 pm. He said the house does have a building permit but he co1 ilri nnt provide a <br />copy to me. He provided the property owner name Leon Caffey,IIMMEPP <br />A SJC SO representative called me back and did not understand why I was <br />currently on site. He told me to notify Michael Forman that he can be sited for the <br />generator noise. I left the site and called Muniappa to bring him up to date. No <br />further action taken . <br />04/29/2020 Completed yesterday's narrative. Looked up the property in EC, found <br /> BACKUS <br />FA0022352, PR0538902 and multiple complaints from 2019 going back to 2014. <br />Referred case to Melissa Nissim, Program Coordinator Housing. Melissa asked <br />me to assign the complaint to Michael Suszycki, EHD staff. <br />11/09/2021 Abated the complaint to PR0538902 and turned it in for review.
