A 5g bucket full of saturated absorbent, which was <br />determined to be hazardous waste at the time of inspection had a crack in the bottom and oily staining under and <br />around it. Facilities shall be maintained and operated to minimize the possibility of a fire, explosion, or release of <br />hazardous waste to air, soil, or surface water which could threaten human health or the environment. Immediately <br />pick up the saturated absorbent and manage according to Title 22 hazardous waste regulations. Submit a statement <br />and supporting documentation explaining how this waste was managed. <br />This is a repeat violation, Class Il. <br />304 <br />CCR 66262.34(4)(2) Failed to maintain adequate aisle space for unobstructed response to emergencies. <br />2 hazardous waste drums are stored in the dumpster area behind 2 dumpsters. The area has trash littered throughout <br />it. To get to the hazardous waste containers one must squeeze between the two dumpsters or pull them out. <br />Adequate aisle space shall be maintained to allow the unobstructed movement of personnel, fire protection, spill <br />control equipment, and decontamination equipment to all areas of facility operation in an emergency. Immediately <br />maintain aisle space to allow the unobstructed movement of personnel, fire protection, spill control equipment, and <br />decontamination equipment to any area of facility operation in an emergency. <br />This is a repeat violation, Class II. <br />605 <br />CCR 66262.34(f) Failed to completely label containers or tanks of hazardous waste. <br />One -30g drum was seen without the contents marked. All hazardous waste containers shall be marked with the <br />following information: <br />- the words "Hazardous Waste" <br />- name and address of generator <br />- hazardous properties <br />- physical state <br />- composition (contents) <br />- accumulation start date <br />Immediately label these containers and ensure that all hazardous waste containers are marked with all the required <br />information. <br />This violation was corrected on site. <br />This is a repeat violation, Class II. <br />Overall Inspection Comments: <br />Complete and submit a copy of the Return to Compliance Certification form to the EHD with a statement <br />documenting the corrective actions that have been or will be taken for each violation, and any supporting <br />paperwork, by July 18, 2016 . <br />Please be aware as of January 1, 2013, all businesses are required to submit all hazardous materials information <br />online to the California Environmental Reporting System (CERS) at http://cers.calepa.ca.gov.
