Emailed OIR to Alex Steele at: R2Sv@pge.com. <br />03/18/2021 9:03 AM Received a page from the front desk for new complaint from Alex Steele, <br />Environmental Field Specialist (PG&E) for a 7-gallon mineral oil spill onto soil. <br />Called Alex Steele 209-337-8902. Alex reported the spill occurred on 3-17-21 and <br />had been coned off and taped. The spill was due to a leak from a pole-mounted <br />transformer. The cause for the leak is unknown. No water ways were impacted, no <br />injuries, and no evacuations. Dave Larson 9PG&E) was already on-site excavating <br />the impacted soil. <br />Received spill information from REHS Jason Gaitan (EHD) which was sent to him <br />by Dave Larsen (PGE&E). It was a video recording of the initial spill area before <br />cleanup and directions to the spill. <br />10:00 AM Arrived at spill site with Program Coordinator Melissa Nissim (EHD) <br />Dave Larson was almost done with excavating the impacted soil. <br />Observed spill area to be approximately 7.5 ft. x 1.5 ft. PG&E completed the spill <br />clean up by removing oil-contaminated soil to an average depth of 1 ft. <br />Cleanup was deemed adequate as no oily soil or odor were observed. A total of <br />two 55-gallon drums of soil contaminated with transformer mineral oil was <br />generated. Waste will be transported to 4040 West Ln, Stockton, CA 95204 <br />following cleanup pending disposal. Transformer oil to be sampled for lab analysis <br />on 3/19/2021. <br />Added property owner, responsible party, and complainant information to the <br />complaint previously generated by office assistant. <br />Discussed complaint with Lead Senior Elena Manzo (EHD). <br />Completed Prop 65. <br />Prop 65 was reviewed by Lead Senior Garrett Backus (EHD).
