The following is an itemized list of hazardous waste violations that have not been addressed for SALLY BEAUTY SUPPLY#10530 as of June 02, 2020. Open violations from December 27, 2018 inspection Violation#605-Failed to completely label containers or portable tanks of hazardous waste. The following was observed in the facility's hazardous waste(HW)storage area: -a State Toxic HW tote contained a Gigi All Purpose Honee hair removal wax, however the HW label on the tote did not include hair waxes under"Contents"(IMG 3300-3301). -a Corrosive Bases HW tote contained an Ion Color Brilliance Permanent hair color, however the HW label on the tote did not include hair color under"Contents" (IMG 3303-3304). All hazardous waste containers shall be marked with the following information: -the words"Hazardous Waste" -name and address of generator -hazardous properties -physical state -composition (contents) -accumulation start date Immediately label these containers and ensure that all hazardous waste containers are marked with all the required information. ❑O This violation was corrected ❑This violation will be corrected by(date): ❑ Supporting documents included Describe actions taken or will be taken to correct violation: As required by the regulations, SBH labels bins with the composition, not a list of contents. Please see below: 22 CCR 66262.34(f)(3)(A) (f)Generators who accumulate hazardous waste on site without a permit or grant of interim status shall comply with the following requirements: (1)the date upon which each period of accumulation begins shall be clearly marked and visible for inspection on each container and portable tank; (2)the date the applicable accumulation period specified in subsection (a)or(d)of this section begins,for purposes of subsections(a)and (b)of this section, shall be clearly marked and visible for inspection on each container and tank; and (3)each container and tank used for onsite accumulation of hazardous waste shall be labeled or marked clearly with the words, "Hazardous Waste."Additionally, all containers and portable tanks shall be labeled with the following information: (A)composition and physical state of the wastes; (B)statement or statements which call attention to the particular hazardous properties of the waste(e.g.,flammable, reactive, etc.); (C)name and address of the person producing the waste.
