The following is an itemized list of hazardous waste violations that have not been <br /> addressed for SALLY BEAUTY SUPPLY#10530 as of June 02, 2020. <br /> Open violations from December 27, 2018 inspection <br /> Violation#605-Failed to completely label containers or portable tanks of hazardous waste. <br /> The following was observed in the facility's hazardous waste(HW)storage area: <br /> -a State Toxic HW tote contained a Gigi All Purpose Honee hair removal wax, however the HW label on the tote <br /> did not include hair waxes under"Contents"(IMG 3300-3301). <br /> -a Corrosive Bases HW tote contained an Ion Color Brilliance Permanent hair color, however the HW label on the <br /> tote did not include hair color under"Contents" (IMG 3303-3304). <br /> All hazardous waste containers shall be marked with the following information: <br /> -the words"Hazardous Waste" <br /> -name and address of generator <br /> -hazardous properties <br /> -physical state <br /> -composition (contents) <br /> -accumulation start date <br /> Immediately label these containers and ensure that all hazardous waste containers are marked with all the required <br /> information. <br /> ❑O This violation was corrected ❑This violation will be corrected by(date): <br /> ❑ Supporting documents included <br /> Describe actions taken or will be taken to correct violation: <br /> As required by the regulations, SBH labels bins with the composition, not a list of contents. Please see below: <br /> 22 CCR 66262.34(f)(3)(A) <br /> (f)Generators who accumulate hazardous waste on site without a permit or grant of interim status shall comply with the <br /> following requirements: <br /> (1)the date upon which each period of accumulation begins shall be clearly marked and visible for inspection on each <br /> container and portable tank; <br /> (2)the date the applicable accumulation period specified in subsection (a)or(d)of this section begins,for purposes of <br /> subsections(a)and (b)of this section, shall be clearly marked and visible for inspection on each container and tank; and <br /> (3)each container and tank used for onsite accumulation of hazardous waste shall be labeled or marked clearly with the <br /> words, "Hazardous Waste."Additionally, all containers and portable tanks shall be labeled with the following information: <br /> (A)composition and physical state of the wastes; <br /> (B)statement or statements which call attention to the particular hazardous properties of the waste(e.g.,flammable, reactive, <br /> etc.); <br /> (C)name and address of the person producing the waste. <br /> Page 1 of 1 <br />
