Isham (julian.isham@CBI.com) Subject: Revised Partial Final Closure and Postclosure Maintenance Plan - Foothill Landfill Unit LF -1 Hello John, San Joaquin County is submitting the "Revised Partial Final Closure and Postclosure Maintenance Plan" for Foothill Landfill, Unit LF -1 (Formerly Module "I") as required by the WDR. The file was uploaded to Geotracker. I have attached only the cover letter to this email, as the whole file is too large for email. As a reminder, below is the Water Board's response to County comments on the tentative WDRs regarding the closure: ...As previously discussed, existing soil cover on the landfill's side slopes may be of sufficient thickness and type to be approved as envirotranspirative (ET) final cover, but the Discharger will need to make this demonstration under the WDRs... Our consultant, CB&I, performed a field investigation including pot holing of the existing side slope cover and prepared the report. We feel confident that we have satisfactorily demonstrated that the existing cover meets ET final cover requirements. Please call if you have any questions. Thank You Taj M.
