Mr. Adam Mumford -2- <br />ANNUAL REPORT, FOOTHILL SANITARY LANDFILL LFG FLARE, SJVAPCD PERMIT N-4070 <br />(5) The LFG collection system was expanded during this reporting period as follows: <br />a. Horizontal Collector HC -6 was installed in July 2016 (see Figure) <br />b. LFG collection wells GX-10 through GX-17 were installed in the summer 2016 (see Figure) <br />(6) The LFG collection system is periodically expanded as refuse is disposed. The dates of installation of <br />the initial LFG system and previous expansions of the LFG collection system are as follows: <br />Previously reported system construction and expansions: <br />a. Original system, including vertical wells GX-1 through GX-9, and connection to horizontal <br />collection trenches HC -1 and HC -2, was substantially complete in February 2007, fully <br />operational in August 2007. <br />b. Horizontal collector trench HC -3 was installed in 2008 and connected to the header December <br />2008. <br />C. A leachate riser in Lined Area 1, and the soil gas trench below the liner of Area 1 were attached <br />to the LFG header in April 2009. However, this has since been disconnected due to poor gas <br />quality. <br />d. Horizontal collector HC -4 was installed in 2008, connected to the LFG header in October 2009. <br />e. Landfill gas well GX-2A was installed and connected to the LFG header in December 2011, <br />replacing the original well GX-2. <br />f. Horizontal LFG collector HC -5, was installed in March 2013 (previous reporting period).
