i <br />11 <br />INFORMATION SHEET <br />WASTE MANAGEMENT OF NORTH AMERICA INCORPORATED <br />FOOTHILL SANITARY LANDFILL INCORPORATED <br />FOOTHILL SANITARY LANDFILL FACILITY <br />CLASS III LANDFILL <br />SAN JOAQUIN COUNTY <br />Foothill Sanitary Landfill is in San Joaquin County on the east side of Waverly <br />Road, approximately one mile south of Shelton Road. The facility covers <br />approximately 800 acres, but current activities are limited to about 85 acres of <br />the site. <br />Foothill Sanitary Landfill is an existing Class II -2 landfill. The property is <br />owned,by Waste Management. of North America Incorporated and is operated by <br />Foothill Sanitary Landfill Incorporated under Solid Waste Facilities Permit <br />number 39 -AA -004 issued by the San Joaquin Local Health District, *and -WORs <br />issued under Board Order No. 71-110. <br />These revised WDRs replace Board Order 71-110 and reclassify the site from 11-2 <br />to a Class III landfill under the new Subchapter 15 requirements. <br />The water table is at approximately 200 feet below the lowest planned excavation <br />level of the site. The mean annual precipitation is about 12.5 inches. Soils <br />under the site are clays, silts, and fine sands,.and extend to depths of at <br />least 100 feet. <br />The land within 1000 feet of the site is used for. agriculture. Ground and <br />surface water in the area is used for municipal, agricultural, and industrial <br />supply. <br />JKT:sg <br />
