Hazelton
Stockton, CA 95205
Attn: Natalia Subbotnikova
Senior REHS
PH: (209) 468-0338
Re: Project Description for Tip Floor Repairs
Natalia,
After many years of service we have experienced some normal wear to our tipping floor as many of
these facilities do. As you are aware we like to keep a well maintained facility and be proactive with
building and maintenance repairs. During the repair we will be loading into one pit which is more than
sufficient considering the current in -flow of material and expect no delays in moving this material. We
have selected a contractor who is familiar with our facility and its regulatory compliance needs. We
have prepared this plan as follows for your approval.
Proiect Description
Repair a section of the tipping floor located in the south west corner directly in front of loading pit # 2 as
shown in the attached drawing. The size of the repair to the tip floor is approximately 53' x 60', the
repair will require this section of floor to be removed and replaced in two stages. All surfaces will be
replaced consistent with that of the original. We anticipate the first stage to take no longer than ten
consecutive days starting 2/19/13 and be completed by 2/28/13. The second stage will take no longer
than eight consecutive days starting on 3/4/13 and be completed 3/11/13. During the repair, this area
will be marked with caution tape and barricaded to prevent unauthorized entrance of customers or
employees using the facility. All Local, State and Federal Laws including Health and Safety requirements
will be strictly adhered to.
Safety Requirements
All Contractors, Sub Contractors and Employees will adhere to all OSHA, State and Local Health & Safety
regulations as well as (TMRF) Tracy Material Recovery & Solid Waste Transfer Inc. (IIPP) Injury Illness
Protection Prevention plan & safety rules. All Contractors, Sub Contractors and Employees will meet
with (TMRF) Tracy Material Recovery & Solid Waste Transfer Inc. Safety Officer prior to starting any
work at the facility for training on (PPE) Personal Protective Equipment and take a quiz before being
allowed to start any work. Barricades will be put in place as to prevent access to work area by public or
unauthorized personnel during the duration of the repair. Sufficient dust control will be used during the
duration of the repair. Additional traffic control will be used if needed during working hours.
30703 S. MacArthur Drive s P.O. Box 93 .
