The Guide to Potentially Hazardous Material Management <br />FrequentlyAsked questions <br />Can I store more than one item in a bag? <br />As long as they are not leaking, you can store more than one item per bag <br />when they are in the same category of potentially hazardous products. For <br />example, you could place more than one metal aerosol can in the same bag, <br />becausetheyare both flammable products. <br />The most important thing to remember is that items indifferent categories <br />should not comingle. When you're not sure if products belong to the same <br />category, use separate bags. <br />What if an item is leaking? <br />Leaking items must be bagged separately, with absorbent material placed in <br />the bag. <br />What do I do if I run out of sealable bags? <br />In an emergency, you may purchase additional bags at a local store. They <br />must be clear, sealable, and at least 3 mil in thickness. One gallon Zip -Loc <br />freezer bags meet these requirements. For regular replacement, order <br />through the POS. <br />How should I store electricals? <br />Electricals take up a lot of space and can quickly fill a bin. To save on space, <br />you can remove electrical items from their packaging before disposing of <br />them. Also, electricals DO NOT need to be placed in bags prior to disposal. <br />What should I do with the paperwork the technician gave me? <br />When the technician picks up your damages, they will leave a manifest. <br />Please make sure it goes into your binder. You will need to match that to a <br />second manifest that will come in the mail from the receiver of the <br />product, and staple them together. <br />Have other questions?
