As a company dedicated to improving the lives of those we serve through innovative and
high-quality health and pharmacy services, CVS Pharmacy (CVS) understands the need for
a healthy environment, and is committed to fostering a culture of environmental
responsibility within our company.
Waste materials that could potentially be harmful may be generated at our stores in the
ordinary course of our business. In order to protect the environment, Federal (US
Environmental Protection Agency) and State regulations have been developed that restrict
retailers from disposing of certain items on their premises (e.g. in the trash/dumpster or
down the drain).
The CVS Pharmacy Hazardous Waste Management Program is designed to provide a
mechanism for the proper identification and disposal of waste materials, particularly those
that may be hazardous when disposed. This program overview is included as part of the
overall Environmental, Health & Safety (EH&S) Program Binder and is designed to
supplement the environmental training materials provided on LEARNet. This document
should be used for reference only.
This Program is administered by the CVS Health EH&S Department:
• Email: Corporate EnvironmentalTeama-CVSHealth.com
• Fax: 401-652-2254
A hard copy of this program overview must be maintained in the EH&S Program Binder
located in the Store Manager's office. It is the responsibility of the CVS Health EH&S
Department to periodically update this program and to communicate those updates through
Workload Manager, LEARNet, and any other methods as they see fit.
Environmental 3
VCVS pharma Health&Safety
