3.0. PERSONNEL <br />3. 1. Project Manager and backhoe operator, Terry D. Hamilton: <br />- Manages field operations. <br />- Conducts "tail gate" site safety meetings to discuss work strategy and mitigate safety <br />hazards, if any, prior to commencement of daily work. <br />- Ensures the Work Plan is safely completed on schedule. <br />- Briefs the field personnel, i.e., consultant and lab technician on their specific assignments. <br />- Participates in the preparation of the Site Health and Safety Plan ("SHASP") <br />- Serves as a liaison with public officials. <br />3.2. Site Health and Safety Officer, Drew Van Allen: <br />- Implements and enforces the SHASP. <br />- Conducts daily "tailgate" meetings with Terry Hamilton and Drew Van Allen to explain the <br />plan of work for the day, discuss potential hazards/mitigation of the site. <br />- Assures that all on-site personnel have received a copy of the SHASP, have read and understand <br />it. <br />- Conducts frequent inspections of site conditions, facilities, equipment, and activities to <br />determine if the SHASP is adequate and being followed. <br />- Ensures that protective clothing and equipment are properly utilized, stored and maintained. <br />Knows emergency procedures, excavations routes, and notifies local emergency services when <br />necessary. <br />3.3. On -Site Personnel <br />Are required to document their full understanding of the SHASP before starting work by signing <br />that they have read the SHASP and understand it. - Complies with the SHASP. <br />- Notifies the Site Health and Safety Officer of unsafe conditions. <br />
