W. DAVE OLMSTEAD
BROKER -DEVELOPER
P. O. BOX 134
TRACY, CALIF. 05376
[209] 835-7284
May 14, 1985
Lee Hall, Director
San Joaquin County Local Health District
Post Office Box 2009
Stockton, California 95201
Re: Subdivision S-84-7 Fornasero
Subdivision S-84-6 Etcheverry
Dear Lee:
The above two projects contain a total of twenty-four
1' acre parcels in an area which has demonstrated good
percolation characteristics and water quality. The ten-
tative map for both of these projects has been approved
with the exception of the drainage issue which is to be
finalized at the Planning Commission meeting on June 6,
1985. Because of the recent controversy over water quality,
my hope is that the Health Department's position with
reference to individual wells on this property can be
clarified for the record.
Attached are copies of the Health Department's conditions,
recent water tests in the area of the project, soil pro-
files, and recent percolation tests.
A clarification of the Local Health District's position
and/or the State's position relative to the supply of water
for these projects is important at this time. Therefore,
a request is hereby made that a document would be issued
that would address the following:
1. Individual wells are acceptable on these two
projects.
2. Because the test borings show the water table
to be below fifty feet, that the individual
wells be sealed to one hundred feet.
