These funds shall be administered by the California Department <br />of Justice, and shall be used by the Environment Section of the Public Rights Division of the <br />Attorney General's Office. The payment, and any interest derived there from, shall solely and <br />exclusively augment the budget of the Attorney General's Office as it pertains to the Environment <br />Section of the Public Rights Division and in no manner shall supplant or cause any reduction of <br />any portion of the Attorney General's budget. <br />(c) NINE MILLION DOLLARS ($9,000,000.00) as civil penalties to the District <br />Attorneys and regulatory agencies as set forth in Exhibit C attached hereto and in the amounts set <br />forth therein, for alleged violations of California statutes and regulations as set forth in Exhibit C <br />attached herein, payable as set forth in Paragraphs 9, subdivisions (c)(i) and (ii) below, with each <br />installment made payable to the designated recipient, within thirty (30) days from the Effective <br />Date of the Final Judgment entered in this action. <br />(i) Distribution to Prosecuting Agencies: Pursuant to the provisions of <br />California Business and Professions Code section 17206, FIVE MILLION, ONE HUNDRED <br />AND FIFTY THOUSAND DOLLARS ($5,150,000.00) of the civil penalties assessed in this <br />matter shall be paid by Defendants Chevron U.S,A. Inc., and Chevron Stations Inc. and <br />distributed to the prosecuting agencies identified in Exhibit C attached hereto, in accordance with <br />the disbursement terms set forth in Exhibit C. Each disbursement shall be made by Defendants <br />by separate check made payable to the office of the District Attorney for each County designated <br />for each separate payment as identified in Exhibit C.
