•.• LIVE OAK GEO ENVIRONMENTAL, INC.
.,
407 W. Oak St., Lodi, CA 95240 •: (209) 369-0375 logelodi.com
November 9, 2021
Project Number: 2155
Paul Cox
19745 S. Sexton Rd.
Escalon, CA 95320
Regarding: Percolation Testing
APN 245-110-29
19693 S. Sexton Rd., Escalon, CA (3.41 Acres)
Mr. Cox:
Per your request, Live Oak GeoEnviron mental, Inc. (Live Oak) has completed a percolation test
for the subject Site, located at 19693 South Sexton Road, Escalon (Plate 1). We understand
that you are purchasing the Site, and the lender is requiring the completion of a percolation
test as a condition of financing.
Soil Boring
On November 3, 2021, Live Oak excavated a shallow soil boring on the Site for the purpose of
percolation testing. The boring was four inches in diameter, 2.66 feet deep, and was
excavated by hand auger. The location of the boring is indicated on the attached Plate 2.
Soil Log
The soil in the boring was observed to be silty sand to the full depth of the hole.
Preparation and Presaturation of Percolation Test Holes
After the boring was advanced, the test hole was completed for the percolation testing.
Approximately two inches of pea gravel were placed in the bottom of the open soil boring,
followed by a 2.0-inch diameter PVC pipe with perforations on the bottom. Pea gravel was
then used to backfill a few inches of the annular space.
Live Oak presaturated the percolation test hole approximately 24 hours prior to the percolation
testing. The hole was filled with water to a height of 12 inches above the bottom of the boring
for the presaturation. On the day of testing, the hole was found to be intact and dry.
Percolation Test Procedure
Live Oak conducted the percolation test for the boring on November 4, 2021. Percolation test
procedures conformed to San Joaquin County Environmental Health Department policy.
Due to initial percolation rates observed, a one-hour test was selected. Water level
measurements were taken every 30 minutes during this four-hour period. Aaron Gooderham,
Environmental Engineering Geology Geophysics
