The project proposes a storage facility with <br />associated pavement. The focus of our geotechnical exploration will be at the <br />following address 2430 West Atherton Drive in Manteca (APN: 241-320-57) <br />Drilling: <br />Gularte and Associates are contracted to perform three exploratory borings for <br />Geotech the purposes of writing a Geotechnical Report for the project. The borings will be <br />Reports 4" in diameter and will be drilled with solid flight augers. These borings will be <br />used to retrieve SPT and CAL -MOD soil samples. Two of the borings will be <br />drilled to a depth of 20 feet below ground surface and one of the borings will be <br />drilled to a depth of 50 feet below ground surface. The borings locations can be <br />seen on the attached site map. <br />Grouting: <br />Phase I ESA Once the desired depths of the borings are met the holes will be grouted. A tremie <br />pipe will be placed to the bottom of the borehole to avoid segregation or dilution <br />of grout. The grout will be pumped/poured through the tremie pipe releasing the <br />grout at the bottom of the bore hole. The tremie pipe will be submerged in the <br />slurry at all times during slurry placement. The tremie pipe will be raised slowly <br />as grout is introduced to the casing or hole.
