1 <br />2 <br />3 <br />4 <br />5 <br />6 <br />7 <br />S <br />9 <br />10 <br />11 <br />12 <br />13 <br />14 <br />15 <br />16 <br />17 <br />18 <br />19 <br />20 <br />21 <br />22 <br />23 <br />24 <br />25 <br />26 <br />27 <br />28 <br />costs necessary to pursue the investigation, prosecution, or enforcement of environmental actions <br />investigated or initiated by the Attorney General for the benefit of the State of California and its <br />II citizens. <br />(b) ONE HUNDRED THOUSAND DOLLARS ($100,000.00), by check, made <br />payable to "The State Water Resources Control Board — Underground Storage Tank Cleanup <br />Fund, as reimbursement for partial recovery of its costs of investigation, which shall be <br />delivered within thirty (30) calendar days of issuance and entry of the Final Judgment to the <br />Payment Administrator designated in Paragraph 10 below <br />(c) SEVEN HUNDRED THOUSAND DOLLARS ($700,000.00), by check, made <br />payable to "The County of Sacramento — Environmental Management Department," to fund the <br />Sacramento County Abandoned Well Restoration Project. This Project is more fully described in <br />Exhibit D, attached hereto and made part of this Final Judgment by reference. The check shall be <br />delivered within thirty (3 0) calendar days of issuance and entry of the Final Judgment to the <br />Payment Administrator designated in Paragraph 10 below. The County of Sacramento <br />Environmental Management Department shall ensure that these funds are expended for the <br />completion of the Sacramento County Abandoned Well Restoration Project, and shall until the <br />exhaustion of the funds provide annual reports describing the specific use of the funds and <br />describing the specific activities completed. These reports shall be submitted to Plaintiff pursuant <br />to Paragraph 16. <br />(d) FIVE HUNDRED THOUSAND DOLLARS ($500,000.00), by check, made <br />payable to the California Climate Action Registry ("CCAR") to allow the CCAR to accelerate its <br />efforts to operate the Climate Action Registry as an appropriate offset registry in the United <br />States so as to_ (1) ensure that emission reductions from offset projects are real, additional, <br />verifiable, and permanent, (2) consolidate and bring quality and integrity to the voluntary <br />greenhouse gas offset market, and (3) educate and assure policy makers, market participants, and <br />the public regarding the role of real and credible offsets in a regulatory environment. This <br />Supplemental Environmental Project is designed to advance the environmental goals underlying <br />the California Health and Safety Code and to improve the overall environmental health of the <br />9 <br />Final Judgment and Injunction <br />
